We have put together a great information package in the guesthouse with descriptions and directions to all the beautiful sites of the Trail, Shady Cove, and Upper Rogue area.
Pack a lunch and enjoy the beautiful 90-minute drive along the Rogue River to visit Crater Lake. Along the way, you will pass the famous Natural Bridge and the Rogue River Gorge. Lost Creek Reservoir is just 15 minutes away and is a fun place to swim, boat or fish. Diamond Lake, about an hour away, is one of the premier fishing lakes in the Cascades. The scenic Umpqua River is another great fishing spot or visit South Umpqua Falls and try the natural water slide! There are also many hiking trails for all ages and skill levels.
If you have a palate for wine, there is an abundance of wonderful wineries to visit and wines to taste. Crater Lake Cellars is less than 10 minutes from Blacktail Lodge B&B and will gladly introduce you to their wonderful Oregon wines.
